How it all started – Kelly’s kitten and puppy photos:
Kelly began professionally as a portrait and product photographer in studio and on location in Winter Park, Florida in 2002. After she adopted her tiny chihuahua puppy Bella, she became very interested in… You guessed it! – photographing small dogs. As she began searching for pet models to photograph, she discovered that hundreds of loving pets were euthanized in county shelters each year due to overcrowded conditions. She was in disbelief that this was happening, and determined to help. She reached out to several rescue organizations in her local area to volunteer and devoted her Saturdays photographing the rescue animals. The beautiful, professional images of the pets helped to get them adopted – many times immediately within 24 hours after the new photos were posted online. Kelly continues to this day donating her time an efforts to provide complimentary photography to her local area rescues and volunteers as a foster kitty mom herself. Kelly hopes that licensing the adorable kitten and puppy photos that she creates will help raise awareness for animal rescue communities all over the world. The heart in kelly’s logo stands for all of the foster kitten hearts and love and dedication that Kelly has helped save.
Trivia about Kelly: Kelly devoted her life, before having her own children, to teaching children for Orange County Public Schools. She taught Art Education K-12 and Elementary Education for approximately ten years. Soon after she had children of her own, she took a step back from teaching to stay at home. It was then that her desire to pursue Photography as a profession became a reality.
